The work on the lamps of the Sint Servaasbrug is complete. The existing lamps have been refurbished and new LED lamps now hang under the arches. This also illuminates the underside of the bridge. The new lamps are energy-efficient and friendly to animals such as bats and fish.

The Design

The design is based on the idea ‘Sint Servaasbrug in the Light’ by the late Louis Prevot. His son Maurice later named the project Loumière, referring to his fathers first name.

Official Opening

On Monday, November 17, the new lamps were turned on for the first time during a short boat trip on the Maas River. Alderman Manon Fokke was present. Maurice Prevot was also there and gave a short speech.

Stadsgoud
