Due to the ongoing winter weather, Dar did not collect waste until Saturday, January 10. The safety of residents and employees was the priority: because of snow and ice, it was not safe to collect waste. From Monday, January 12, Dar will resume waste collection, but with some adjustments to the collection schedule.
What will be collected?
From Monday, January 12, Dar will again collect residual waste, PMD (plastic+), and old paper, provided street conditions allow. Please place your waste at the curb before 7:30 AM. Dar will continue to empty (underground) collection containers.
Collection of Christmas trees
Due to the winter weather, Christmas trees were not collected everywhere according to the original schedule. Dar will collect them at a later time. The waste calendar and the Dar app indicate when Dar will collect Christmas trees at your location.
What will not be collected?
Organic waste: In the coming week (from January 12), Dar will not collect organic waste. Much of the organic waste is currently frozen in the containers, making emptying difficult. This also gives Dar extra capacity to safely collect other waste streams.
