On Thursday, September 18, and Friday, September 19, 2025, Defense will organize a military exercise in our municipality. During this training, soldiers will move on foot along a route that includes Oosterbeek, Doorwerth, Heteren, and Driel to the John Frost Bridge in Arnhem.
The exercise will take place on and around public roads and paths. No weapons or (practice) ammunition will be used. The training is part of the preparation for deployment both domestically and abroad.
Defense is doing everything possible to minimize inconvenience to residents and nature. However, you may experience some disturbance from the presence of soldiers.
