Due to its 150th anniversary, Wynmalen & Hausmann from Heteren has received the Royal predicate. Mayor Patricia Hoytink-Roubos presented the certificate on Saturday, November 22, to general director Wim van den Heuvel during the festive jubilee celebration at De Noordkade in Veghel. She was accompanied by alderman Karel Grimm, portfolio holder for Economic Affairs.

First Royal Company in Overbetuwe

On the occasion of its 150th anniversary, Wynmalen and Hausmann, with mediation by the Municipality of Overbetuwe, submitted a request to the Royal House for the predicate ‘Royal’.
With the granting of the predicate by King Willem Alexander, Wynmalen and Hausmann may call itself Royal and include this in the company name. It is the first company in the Municipality of Overbetuwe with the predicate ‘Royal’.

150 Years of Entrepreneurship

Founded in 1875 in Rotterdam, Wynmalen & Hausmann started trading in steam engines, tools, ship copper, and ironwork. The company now has 170 employees and 6 locations across the Netherlands. The headquarters is located in an industrial area in Heteren.

Expertise in Earthmoving Machines

Wynmalen & Hausmann is a leading company in the Netherlands in the sale and service of earthmoving machines, mainly from the brands Liebherr and Ammann. Since 1981, it has been the exclusive representative of Liebherr in the Netherlands. The company also plays an important role in the development of electrically powered earthmoving machines, contributing to a more sustainable construction sector.

Festive Award Ceremony

The award ceremony took place at a central location in Veghel, because Wynmalen & Hausmann has multiple branches. In consultation with the company and the Municipality of Meierijstad, of which Veghel is part, Mayor Patricia Hoytink-Roubos presented the certificate.

Meaning of the Predicate

The ‘Royal’ predicate is a royal recognition that can be granted to large companies. It symbolizes the respect, appreciation, and trust of the King. An application can be submitted via the municipality and only for anniversaries starting from 100 years, and thereafter every 25 years.
