Since Sunday, July 6, a colorful flag proudly flutters on the flagpole at the new Molenhoekplein in Valburg. After years of preparation, Valburg has a new village center, which was enthusiastically celebrated by about 250 residents.
Official opening
Councilor Wijnte Hol raised the flag together with Valburg resident Peter Hilhorst:
“After years of planning, thanks to residents and volunteers, a beautiful plan has been realized and a long-held wish has come true. Young and old can come together here to play, meet, exercise, and participate in events. Together with the Multifunctional Center Valburg, which opened in 2021, the square is a real asset for Valburg. I am proud of the beautiful result and thank everyone who helped make this possible.”
