Starting Friday, September 5, the night buses will operate on Friday nights to Saturday and Saturday nights to Sunday. A schedule of 13 lines will be in effect. This connects a large part of Rotterdam and the region to the major nightlife area in the center. There is also a good connection to the incoming and outgoing night trains from NS, linking Rotterdam and the region to the entire Randstad.

The first trips start between 00:30 and 01:00, and the last trips end well after 6:00. Most night lines depart at least once every hour from Rotterdam Central. The lines to Hoogvliet and Spijkenisse run partially every half hour during expected busy times. The schedule and routes are the same on both nights.

The line numbers are largely the same as those of the old night network (the BOB bus).

Marieke Beije, Director of Travelers: We are pleased that RET can now also bring passengers to their (nightlife) destinations with the night bus.

With the RET night bus, everyone can enjoy what Rotterdam has to offer until the late hours and get home safely and comfortably.

Fares

Travelers can check in and out with an OV-chip card, debit card, or credit card. During the night, a different fare applies than during the day. A fixed fare of € 6.30 is charged. In the RET app, a RET night bus barcode ticket can be purchased for € 7.00. Transfers from night bus to night bus are possible. Passengers can purchase a transfer ticket from the driver of the first trip for € 0.01.

Extra Supervision and Guidance

Rotterdam Central is the starting point for the night buses, where most passengers are expected, and therefore there will also be extra supervision and guidance at this station. Several mobile BOA teams will also be deployed during the night.
