The Vacation Passport is back! This summer vacation, primary school children from Rotterdam can again do a lot of fun things. There are 159 activities in the passport; from visiting playgrounds to day trips. All great outings, free or at a discount.
In the past weeks, all children aged 4 to 12 in Rotterdam received the Vacation Passport for free at school. They can go out with travel buddy Mika, who takes them to various fun outings in and around Rotterdam. Scavenger hunts, eating ice cream, swimming, doing workshops, visiting museums, boating, and going to petting zoos and playgrounds… From Rozenburg to Nesselande: with the Vacation Passport, there are plenty of fun activities to do in every neighborhood.
Vacation Passport App
Essential for the journey through Rotterdam is the Vacation Passport app. It contains all the information about the destinations and a route through multiple outings for a whole day of fun per neighborhood. Moreover, you can save your favorite destinations with a heart. The digital Vacation Passport in the app is also very handy; you always have your passport with you. Parents can download the app for free in the App Store. Link opens an external page (iPhone) or Google Play. Link opens an external page (Android).
Super Destinations
At each outing that children visit, they receive a stamp in their physical Vacation Passport. After collecting 10 stamps, they can buy a maximum of 2 vouchers for the so-called Super Destinations with the Super Coupon for only 2.50 euros each. This year, these are Diergaarde Blijdorp, Jeugdtheater Hofplein, Adventure City Rotterdam, and Cinerama Film Theater/Kinepolis Spijkenisse. Children can visit these in the fall; thus, they can also enjoy the Vacation Passport after the summer vacation!
The Vacation Passport is published by Rotterdampas. Link opens an external page. It is also available for 4.50 euros at the Rotterdampas store (Central Library) and De Kleine Kapitein (Botersloot 173).
Children can also obtain a free Vacation Passport at the Rotterdampas store by showing their Rotterdampas.
