Why
ProRail is working this weekend on the train security system between Rotterdam Central, Delft Campus, Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel, and Barendrecht.
Consequences for the train journey
No train traffic is possible from, via, and to Rotterdam Central. The work will affect routes from Delft, Gouda, Zwijndrecht, and Dordrecht. There will also be no trains on the High-Speed Line such as the Intercity Direct and the Eurostar.
Metro with NS travel document
NS will deploy express and local buses on various routes. And travelers can use the tram and metro network of Rotterdam from various stations. Travelers with an NS travel document can use the metro at stations:
- Rotterdam Central
- Schiedam Centrum
- Beurs
- Rotterdam Blaak
- Capelsebrug
- Rotterdam Alexander
The NS travel document is not valid on metro line E between The Hague Central and Rotterdam Central.
