The municipality of Rotterdam is trying to limit the impact of the strike as much as possible. Before and after the strike, extra garbage trucks and personnel will be deployed. They will empty as much residual waste as possible into neighborhood containers to minimize the impact on Rotterdam residents.
The municipality of Rotterdam also welcomes your help. Separate as much paper and cardboard, glass, gfe+t, and textiles as possible to reduce residual waste. This waste will still be collected by our garbage trucks. Household residual waste will not be. Therefore, try to keep household residual waste at home during the three strike days. If you do bring residual waste to the neighborhood container, look for an empty container and do not place it next to a full container.
Household
After the three-day strike, the municipality will make extra efforts to collect residual waste. This will take several days. This means it may take longer before your container is emptied. There may also be changes in the regular collection days.
The environmental parks are open according to normal opening hours.
