’s-Hertogenbosch remains a strong event city. For 2026, a large number of registrations have again been received. This shows that our municipality remains attractive to organizers.
Alderman Roy Geers: “Considering that organizing events is becoming increasingly complex, it is positive that interest in our municipality remains at a good level. The commitment of many volunteers is of great importance. They ensure every year that familiar activities can continue and that new ideas get a chance. Their contribution deserves special appreciation.”
Registrations
The registered events have been processed in the calendar for 2026. This ensures a balanced distribution throughout the year and across available locations. The calendar shows a recognizable and diverse offer, with recurring events such as Jazz in Duketown, Theater Festival Boulevard, and Paradijs van het Zuiden.
Kings Day stands out in particular. A day on which voluntary efforts are visible and indispensable for the broad program in our neighborhoods and city center. In addition, we see new initiatives that respond to different target groups and forms of programming.
Clarity
The calendar provides organizers with clarity about the reserved space for their event. For the actual execution, an event permit (and where necessary an environmental permit) remains required. As usual, when drawing up the calendar, consideration was given in advance to the effects on the markets and stands, so that this could be taken into account in time.
Locations
Space at highly requested locations such as the Parade, Pettelaarse Schans, and Tramkade remains limited. Choices have been made based on selection criteria. There is not room for all registrations. “At the same time, we continue to work on further developing existing locations and adding new spots,” explains Alderman Roy Geers. “This way, we also maintain sufficient space for an attractive and versatile event offer in our municipality towards the future.”
