The open call for the new creative incubator on the ground floor of the Refugiehuis of Sint Geertruid at Spinhuiswal is now closed. This unique location will provide space for creative makers and initiatives. The aim is to announce the winner at the beginning of March.
During the organized matchmaking meeting on January 20, dozens of interested organizations gathered on-site to explore how to transform this place into a lively, open environment where disciplines come together and new initiatives and collaborations can emerge. We were very pleased with this turnout and many promising plans were submitted!
About the building
The Refugiehuis is located at Spinhuiswal 1, but the entrance is at Sint Jorisstraat 131.
It is a monumental building with four floors. In recent times, various organizations and companies have had offices here. Because it is an older building, it will be made more sustainable in the coming years. The plan is to renovate the building floor by floor and to house various creative and possibly also social initiatives. To start this, we organized this open call for the ground floor.
