January 16, 2026

The event calendar for 2026 has been established. With no less than 167 events, it promises to be a lively year again. Tilburg aims to be a vibrant event city, offering space for meeting, culture, and enjoyment while considering the citys livability.

When compiling the calendar, a good balance between liveliness and livability was sought.

When assessing events, the municipality looks at the distribution across the city and year, the type of event, the impact on the surroundings, and previous experiences. This results in a varied and carefully composed program.

Longer end times and extra sound days

For a number of large, iconic festivals, such as Spoorpark Live, Draaimolen Festival, Festival Circolo, Roadburn, and Bruist from Biezenmortel, the end times in 2026 have been extended by 1 hour compared to the standard location matrix. This matrix contains the usual agreements per location about end times and the number of sound days.

During the MeiMarkt, the closing time for the hospitality industry is lifted, allowing hospitality entrepreneurs to remain open 24 hours a day during the event.

To allow more events, extra sound days are permitted at several locations. This applies, among others, to Reeshofpark, Wilhelminapark, and the Inner Garden in the Spoorzone. Additionally, 2 extra flea markets may be held in 2026 at the parking lot near the Willem II stadium.
