January 6, 2026

There has been significant snowfall in Tilburg, and the winter weather is expected to continue in the coming days. This affects waste and Christmas tree collection as well as anti-slip measures.

Waste Collection

Despite the winter weather, our drivers and loaders are doing their best to empty all (duo) containers and collect Christmas trees (starting tomorrow). Due to the winter weather, streets are very slippery. It may be that we cannot access your street because of the slipperiness and therefore your container will not be emptied. Drivers assess on the spot whether a street is safely accessible or not.

Has your waste not been collected?

Make a report via Fixi. You will be notified when we will still come by.

What to do with your container?

If your container has not been emptied, please bring it back inside. You can put the container outside again once you have received a message from us via Fixi about the new collection time.

Anti-Slip Measures

In addition to collecting waste, our employees are very busy keeping the main routes free of snow and ice. We do everything we can to keep the main roads and cycle paths passable. Since the beginning of this year, 488,422 kilos of salt have been spread. Also, 6,467 kilometers of roads and 3,348 kilometers of cycle paths have been salted. On https://www.tilburg.nl/gemeente/stad-en-dorpen/gladheid/ you can read how we do this. Thank you for your understanding!
