Funds are again available from the municipality for starter loans. The starter loan helps Tilburg residents who want to buy a house for the first time but just cannot secure enough financing.
The starter loan is an additional loan of up to 35,000 euros. The starter loan will also be available in 2026. With this additional loan, starters can get that extra boost to buy their first home. The municipal council recently approved a proposal to increase the credit by an amount of 12.775 million euros. Starters can apply for the loan via the page Starter Loan. There are also a number of conditions that buyers must meet. The municipality expects to grant at least 365 new starter loans in 2026.
