Selection Phase Completed
In the autumn of 2025, the Municipality of Zwolle started a tender to find a development partner for an indoor event facility at Voorsterpoort East. Interested parties could register until the end of December 2025. One party has registered and meets the conditions. The municipality is now entering the next phase with this party.
Careful Evaluation
In the coming period, the municipality will review together with this party whether the plans align well with Zwolles ambitions and conditions and whether they are feasible. This includes looking at the vision for the area, the development strategy, and how the facility can be built and used. The municipality consciously chooses a careful process because developing an indoor event facility is complex. The awarding phase is expected to run until spring 2026, after which the municipality can announce which party it concerns.
Next Steps Towards Reservation Agreement
If the awarding phase is completed positively, the municipality expects to sign a reservation agreement with the entrepreneur before summer. This agreement will contain the main arrangements and frameworks within which a concrete plan can be further developed.
