As tradition dictates, the president of the Netherlands Court of Audit has shared his vision on developments within the national government in an essay published in the opinion magazine EW magazine.

This time, Pieter Duisenberg focuses on the conditions that must be met for a new cabinet to succeed in solving societal problems in our country. Duisenberg refers to good examples from both distant and recent past. He also refers to several recommendations from the House of Representatives. One of the conditions is that the political culture of blame must be transformed into a more constructive way of cooperating in politics.
