BBB Senator Arie Griffioen has separated from his faction and joined the D66 faction. He informed the President of the Senate Mei Li Vos by letter on Friday, 28 November. In his letter, Griffioen stated that he no longer agreed with the course of the BBB and therefore separated and joined the D66 faction. The D66 faction has confirmed his transfer.
Earlier this parliamentary term, three members split from the BBB faction: Robert Croll, who joined the D66 faction, Eric Kemperman, who joined the FVD faction, and Pim Walenkamp, who continued as the one-man faction Walenkamp.
