In the night from May 15 to 16, former senator Jan Terlouw passed away at the age of 93. Terlouw was a member of the Senate from June 8, 1999, to June 10, 2003. In the Senate, he represented the D66 faction and dealt with defense, traffic and water management, economic affairs, development cooperation, and internal affairs. Jan Terlouw will be commemorated at a later date to be determined.
