On December 1, former senator Michel van Hulten passed away at the age of 95. Van Hulten was a member of the Senate from May 25, 1971, to December 7, 1972. In the Senate, he dealt with foreign affairs, defense, public housing, spatial planning, transport and water management, and agriculture and fisheries on behalf of the PPR faction. Michel van Hulten will be commemorated at a date to be determined.
