The committees of the House of Representatives will receive several petitions on Tuesday, November 25, as in every parliamentary week. Citizens and organizations wishing to voice their opinions come to the House of Representatives building to present these in the form of petition submissions. This time, the Members of Parliament will receive six petitions.

The petition submissions take place between 1:15 PM and 2:00 PM in the central hall of the House of Representatives, the Statenpassage. Citizens and organizations present the petitions to various committees. Members of Parliament from those committees come to the Statenpassage to receive the petitions.

Petitions on Tuesday, November 25

  • 1:15 PM: petition Protect the Circular Economy - stop national levies in the chain by the Association of Waste Companies to the Finance Committee;
  • 1:15 PM: petition State of the Worlds Girls 2025 about what child marriage does to girls and young women by Plan International to the Committee on Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation;
  • 1:30 PM: petition Super Chill Deal about strengthening the mental resilience of children by Stichting Super Chill to the Committee on Education, Culture and Science;
  • 1:30 PM: petition Hunger as a Weapon of War by CARE Netherlands to the Committee on Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation;
  • 1:45 PM: petition Abolish the Buffalo Fine about lowering taxes for people with an income between 900 and 2000 euros by the FNV union to the Finance Committee;
  • 1:45 PM: petition about better use of existing buildings by the National Renovation Platform to the Committee on Housing and Spatial Planning.

What is a petition?

A petition is a way for citizens and organizations to make their voices heard. The petition can be about government plans the submitters disagree with, or about a topic they feel receives too little attention in Parliament.
