The Council of Ministers has approved the appointment of Judi Mesman as a member of the Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR). She is a professor of Social Responsibility and Impact at Leiden University and will continue this role alongside her WRR membership.
Mesman studied psychology in Leiden and earned her doctorate in child psychiatry in Rotterdam. At Leiden University, where she has been a professor since 2009, she has held various positions, including scientific director of the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences and dean of the Leiden University College.
Mesman has been appointed for a first term until the end of the current councils term, which ends on December 31, 2027. With Mesmans arrival, the council now has nine members.
