The SER is an advisory body in which entrepreneurs, employees, and independent experts collaborate. The SER advises the government and parliament, both upon request and unsolicited, on socio-economic policy and facilitates agreements and covenants. Additionally, the SER carries out administrative tasks to promote participation. The council was established by law in 1950.
The Foundation of Labor is the national consultation body in the Netherlands for the central organizations of employers and employees. The foundation advises the cabinet and makes recommendations to its members in sectors and companies with the aim of promoting good labor relations between employers and employees.
During the celebration, alongside the Prime Minister, speeches will also be given by the chairman of the SER, Kim Putters, and the chairpersons of the Foundation of Labor, Ingrid Thijssen (VNO-NCW) and Dick Koerselmans (FNV). Additionally, there will be interviews with Minister Paul, the chair of the SER Youth Platform, and a SER crown member.
