Following the conclusion of the chairman of the PVV faction in the House of Representatives that he will no longer support the cabinet, the Prime Minister convened the Council of Ministers.
The outcome of the deliberation is that the ministers and state secretaries from the PVV have offered their resignation to the King. The Prime Minister and the other ministers and state secretaries have placed their portfolios, offices, or positions at the disposal of the King.
The King has, at the recommendation of the Prime Minister, immediately granted honorable resignation to the ministers and state secretaries proposed for appointment in the cabinet by the chairman of the PVV faction:
- M-F. Agema as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport;
- D.S. Beljaarts as Minister of Economic Affairs;
- B. Madlener as Minister of Infrastructure and Water Management;
- M.H.M. Faber-van de Klashorst as Minister of Asylum and Migration;
- R.J. Klever as Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation;
as well as:
- I. Coenradie as State Secretary for Justice and Security;
- F. Zsolt Szabó as State Secretary for the Interior and Kingdom Relations;
- Ch. A. Jansen as State Secretary for Infrastructure and Water Management;
- V. Maeijer as State Secretary for Health, Welfare and Sport.
The duties of the dismissed ministers will be temporarily assumed by other ministers in the cabinet.
Regarding the Prime Minister and the other ministers and state secretaries, the King has considered the availability and requested them to continue to perform all that they deem necessary in the interest of the Kingdom.
