The visit starts on Monday, April 21 in Tokyo, where Prime Minister Schoof will be received by Prime Minister Ishiba. After the greeting, a bilateral discussion will begin between Prime Minister Schoof and Prime Minister Ishiba. Topics of discussion include the war in Ukraine, security in East Asia, the international legal order, and cooperation in trade, innovation, and culture. In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will visit Keio University, where he will engage in conversation with students. The day will conclude with a dinner with CEOs from the business sector.
On the second day of the visit, Tuesday, April 22, Prime Minister Schoof will visit Hokkaido and the Expo 2025 in Osaka, where he will open the Dutch pavilion. He will also visit, among others, the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion.
