Two core themes are central: jointly shaping the energy transition in the North Sea and the security of critical infrastructure in the North Sea. Given geopolitical developments, it is especially important to cooperate. Minister Hermans of Climate and Green Growth is also present on behalf of the Netherlands at the North Sea Summit.

Prime Minister Schoof will participate in the North Sea Summit on January 26, 2026. At the summit, held this year in Hamburg, Germany, partner countries around the North Sea come together to make new agreements and confirm existing ones.
