Gert-Jan Buitendijk, Secretary-General of General Affairs:
‘Roald is a public leader who brings calm and overview. In situations with diverse interests, he knows how to create sustainable relationships. He values constructive dialogue, both internally and externally: he listens to his environment, tests ideas, and is attentive to others. At the same time, he is able to provide clear direction for the organizational development that LVVN represents. He can rely on knowledge and experience in the field of LVVN and in managing large, complex organizations within the government. I am pleased that Roald will take on this role.’
Roald Lapperre:
‘The Ministry of LVVN is committed to sustainable food, valuable nature, and a vital countryside. And thus to major, current societal challenges that we can only realize in close consultation with agricultural entrepreneurs, nature organizations, fishermen, local authorities, knowledge institutions, and other societal parties. Contributing positively to this – together with all dedicated LVVN colleagues – is a complex and, above all, beautiful and important task that I look forward to. I approach this with an open and curious attitude, focusing on connection and tangible results.’
Ir. R.P. (Roald) Lapperre has been the Director-General of Kingdom Relations at the Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations in recent years.
