ABDTOPConsult is a small advisory group of experienced senior civil servants who can be quickly deployed to tackle complex issues at the top of the central government. They conduct research, provide advice, and can take on interim positions. From an independent position, ABDTOPConsult aims for sustainable and feasible policies, good governance, and improved services for society.
The director of ABDTOPConsult leads the team of consultants – he is their coach and fosters their development – is ultimately responsible and a figurehead. The director manages the entire assignment portfolio: the whole process from intake to matching team members to assignments takes place under his leadership. The director also monitors the quality of the execution of assignments. Practice what you preach is paramount: the director is also a consultant on complex societal issues at the top of the central government.
Drs. J.C. (Jan-Kees) Goet was the Secretary-General at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality for the past seven years, now Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature. Previously, he was, among other roles, Director-General Migration at the Ministry of Security and Justice, chairman of the Central Agency for the Reception of Asylum Seekers, and deputy and acting head of the General Intelligence and Security Service. Jan-Kees Goet studied Education at Leiden University.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service. The General Administrative Service Directorate-General conducted the recruitment for this appointment and supported ABDTOPConsult in the selection.
