With the appointment by the (Kingdom) Council of Ministers, Mr. Hoogervorst will become the new chairperson of the Cft Curaçao and Sint Maarten, the College Aruba Financial Supervision, and the Cft Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba as of February 1, 2026.
Hans Hoogervorst has been a member of the three colleges representing the Netherlands since 2022. He served as state secretary and minister in several Dutch cabinets. After his political career, he was chairman of the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets and the International Accounting Standards Board.

He is an excellent successor to Ms. Ongering, who has fulfilled this role with great expertise since February 2023. The Financial Supervision Colleges are independent and oversee the soundness of public finances of the countries Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and Aruba, as well as the public bodies Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba. The Colleges have a signaling and advisory role.
