On April 15, 2025, the State of Groningen and North Drenthe will be presented for the first time. This is an independent study into the governments measures regarding damage recovery and strengthening in the region. The report also provides an update on the progress of sustainability efforts, the level of well-being, and the economic outlook in the region.

The presentation will take place in Delfzijl during an event where residents, professionals, and administrators come together. From that moment, the study will also be available online. Everyone interested is welcome on April 15. During the event, attendees can share their opinions on the study and make suggestions to the government.

There will be two rounds with different sessions where visitors can discuss the results of the study with each other. Various speakers are invited to share their perspectives, with Secretary of State Eddie van Marum opening and Deputy Prime Minister Fleur Agema representing the government at the conclusion.

After publication, the government will collect responses for eight weeks. Based on this, a formal response will be prepared for the House of Representatives and the Senate. The event on April 15 is the starting point of this process.
