Loket D is an initiative of the Vfonds in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior and Kingdom Relations.

Frank Rijkaart, Minister of BZK: “Dutch people must be able to participate and feel that they have an influence on the decisions that affect them. People are increasingly working on solutions for their neighborhood, village, municipality, or country. They work together in neighborhood enterprises, manage the neighborhood, and support each other. The government encourages these initiatives and wants to strengthen them. That is why we are collaborating on Loket D.

Participating and Deciding Together

Loket D is for small, local initiatives. Such as initiatives on how to interact with each other and what role you have in the neighborhood. How young and old can make their voices heard or how the neighborhood becomes safer. For example, Groningen has the project Neighborhood Mothers, who work together for a livable neighborhood where everyones voice counts. In Wageningen, residents are contributing ideas about income security in a Residents Panel. Read more about the projects at www.vfonds.nl/loketd
