Mr. Zevenbergen (54 years old) is a member of the VVD party. He is currently a deputy in the province of South Holland. At present, Bert Wijbenga-van Nieuwenhuizen (VVD) is the mayor of Vlaardingen.

Appointment of Mayor of Vlaardingen
Mr. E.F.A. (Frederik) Zevenbergen will become mayor of the municipality of Vlaardingen. The Council of Ministers has decided, on the proposal of Minister Rijkaart of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, to nominate him for appointment. The appointment takes effect on January 26, 2026.
