Given the deteriorating situation in the Middle East, the MCCb, a meeting of the most involved ministers, has decided that Dutch travelers stranded in Israel can receive assistance in leaving the country. Buses will be deployed for this group so they can travel via Egypt on a commercial flight to the Netherlands. This assistance is intended for stranded Dutch nationals in Israel who reside in the Netherlands and their immediate family members, provided they also reside in the Netherlands.
For stranded Dutch nationals in Iran and Iraq, the options for departure are limited due to the security situation. Stranded Dutch travelers in these countries are advised to travel independently to safer neighboring countries. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assists them with advice and provides consular assistance where necessary.
