Diplomatic Appointments
The Council of Ministers has approved, on the proposal of Minister Van Weel of Foreign Affairs, two ambassadorial appointments in the Western Hemisphere. These are final only after the host country has given approval. The appointments will take effect from this summer.
The Council of Ministers approved the appointment of ambassadors to the following posts:
- Colombia, stationed in Bogotá: Marielle Geraedts, currently ambassador in Manila.
- Suriname, stationed in Paramaribo: Marjolein Busstra, currently deputy chief of mission in Rabat.
