Applying for compensation
The scheme applies to both independent residential units, such as an apartment using collective heating via a Homeowners Association (vve), and non-independent residential units, such as a room in a student house or care initiative.
Households with a block connection do not apply for the support themselves. This is done by the person who has the contract with the energy supplier. In many cases, this is the landlord or the vve. The applicant then settles the compensation with the energy costs of residents. The final extension of the application period will be published in the Government Gazette before September 30.
