Although the COVID-19 measures are currently being relaxed, entrepreneurs experienced many restrictions in the first quarter of 2022. Therefore, the government also offers additional support in this first quarter.
Entrepreneurs are eligible for TVL Q1 2022 if they suffer more than a 30% loss in revenue compared to the first quarter of 2019 or the first quarter of 2020. In that case, an entrepreneur receives 100% subsidy for the portion of fixed costs associated with the sector. The maximum subsidy amount that an SME can receive is 550,000 euros. For non-SMEs, the maximum is 600,000 euros. A business or group of connected businesses can receive up to 2.3 million euros in support for fixed costs during the entire COVID-19 period. The TVL scheme can open on Monday, as it has been approved by the European Commission.
Maternity Leave TVL Q4 2021
The European Commission has also approved the hardship clause for maternity leave for TVL Q4 2021. Entrepreneurs who were on maternity and childbirth leave for at least three weeks in both reference quarters (fourth quarter of 2019 and first quarter of 2020) were still able to apply for TVL for the fourth quarter of 2021. With the approval of the European Commission for this hardship clause, RVO can process these applications.
