On the first day of the meeting, Jasper Wesseling, the State Treasurer at the Ministry of Finance, opened the day with a welcome speech highlighting the importance of the HVP and Multiannual Financial Framework for the digital transition. This was followed by in-depth sessions where attendees engaged in discussions with experts in the field of digitalization within logistics, the criminal justice chain, education, and traffic. Subsequently, the opportunities and dilemmas surrounding digitalization and artificial intelligence were discussed during a panel conversation featuring Maite Fabregas from the Recovery and Resilience task force of the European Commission, Willem Jonker from AiNed, Marc Zegveld from TNO, and Maaike Okano-Heijmans from the Clingendael Institute.

The next day, the European Commission, the Ministry of Finance, and the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science visited the Teaching and Learning Centre (TLC) at Radboud University Nijmegen. This network of teachers and education professionals in the Arnhem-Nijmegen region works on continuous development, innovation, and research in education. Several involved institutions have received HVP funds, with which they work together on issues related to TLCs. Npuls, Radboud University, ROC Nijmegen, TLC network region Arnhem-Nijmegen, the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, and the program management HVP then shared about their collaboration and projects they are working on. A beautiful example of how funds from the HVP are applied in practice.
