Mr. Bosman is currently a judge at the Court of Appeal in The Hague. He also teaches international and European tax law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Previously, he worked as a tax advisor.

Advocates General work in the public prosecutors office at the Supreme Court and provide advice to the Supreme Court of the Netherlands. These so-called conclusions are independent legal analyses in cases brought before the Supreme Court on cassation. The Supreme Court is the highest court in civil, criminal, and tax matters. As the highest court, the Supreme Court can rule on judicial decisions against which cassation appeals are possible. The Supreme Court assesses whether the law has been correctly applied, whether the correct procedures have been followed, and whether a ruling is sufficiently and clearly substantiated.
