Minister David van Weel of Justice and Security: 'Today we have signed a balanced package with consideration for all people within the police organization. Police officers ensure the safety of us all on a daily basis. We ask a lot from our police officers and we reward that financially. We also take into account the sustainable employability of police staff and offer police staff the opportunity to retire early. This is necessary because police work is demanding, as they work hard for our society.'
