Mr. Vingerling is appointed as of August 15, 2025, with her base in Aruba. She will be part of the civil law team. Currently, Mr. Vingerling is a judge at the District Court of The Hague, where she is active in the family law sector. She is also a trainer for judges in training there. Previously, she worked as a judge at the District Court of The Hague in the administrative law sector and was a personal injury lawyer and corporate lawyer.
The Common Court of Justice of Aruba, Curaçao, Sint Maarten, and Bonaire, Sint Eustatius, and Saba administers justice on the islands. The judges at the Common Court of Justice handle civil cases, criminal cases, and administrative law cases (including tax cases), both in first instance and on appeal. The Common Court is also involved in special judicial colleges (such as for civil servant cases) and in colleges responsible for disciplinary law. The Court consists of both judges in local service and judges sent from the European part of the Kingdom.
