Next Phase of Pilot Starts: Digital Reporting Obligation for Troublemakers at Football Matches

The next phase of the pilot digital reporting obligation is starting. From early April, the municipalities of Leeuwarden, Rotterdam, and Utrecht can use the Mini ID, a small portable device, to impose a reporting obligation on troublesome football supporters. Individuals who are subject to a reporting obligation must check in with their fingerprint via the Mini ID at certain times during specific matches. This way, it is demonstrated whether someone is inside or outside the prohibited area and whether they are complying with the reporting obligation.
