Switching the button
Step by step, the Netherlands is becoming more sustainable. More and more people, companies, and organizations are making different choices. This moves us in the right direction, but we are not there yet. We must see sustainable living and entrepreneurship as normal. Switching the button. By handling energy and goods differently, traveling and eating differently, and producing and doing business differently. We all need to take bigger steps to combat climate change. Change is not always easy, but it brings us much: well-insulated and comfortable homes, quieter cities, cleaner air, and economic opportunities.
Climate campaign
The Dutch government started last year with the first ‘Switch the button too’ campaign to encourage households and entrepreneurs to save energy with practical tips. The new campaign goes beyond energy saving and addresses the urgency to combat climate change. It explains why it is necessary, where we are heading, what is already happening, and what governments, companies, organizations, and people at home can still do. Through Zetookdeknopom.nl, concrete advice and examples are provided for companies, governments, other organizations, and people at home.
Switch the button too is a multi-year campaign. From Thursday, August 24, it will be visible in Dutch cinemas. From August 26 in various newspapers and from August 28 on TV and radio. The campaign is an initiative of the ministries of EZK, BZK, LNV, and I&W.
