The Education Executive Agency (DUO) is the link between everyone in education: students, parents, teachers, schools, universities, policymakers, and government organizations. DUO is responsible for financing education participants and institutions, organizing exams, and collecting and managing (education) data. This enables quality education.
The Director-General (DG) of DUO leads the organization of 3,500 employees and is ultimately responsible for DUOs transition to a modern public service provider. Together with two deputy directors, the DG determines the course and provides support and advice to fellow board members and responsible ministers on all DUO matters. The DG works closely with various partners, such as political leadership, educational institutions, and students. By actively seeking connections between these perspectives, DUO contributes to an education system that functions better for everyone. Optimal processes and systems, strong compliance, and digital transformation are important preconditions.
