The provisional budget for 2026 for general assistance benefits, IOAW, IOAZ, and bbz benefits is € 122.6 million higher than the definitive budget provided for 2025 for these schemes. The provisional LKS budget for 2026 is € 43.6 million higher than the definitive LKS budget for 2025 due to the growth of the LKS target group and the new financing system. Overall, the provisional macro budget for 2026 is € 166.2 million higher than the definitive macro budget for 2025.

The definitive macro budget for 2025 amounts to € 7.779.8 million. This macro budget is set at € 301.1 million higher than the provisional macro budget for 2025 (which was estimated at € 7.478.7 million). The definitive macro budget for 2025 is € 439.6 million higher than the definitive macro budget for 2024 (which was € 7.340.2 million).
