Health problems are often part of underlying issues such as debt, poverty, illiteracy, and unemployment. This is the reason the cabinet is asking the SER to take a broad look at the areas where many of these causes intersect: the labor market, the social security system, and the social domain. The way policies function within and between these areas influences peoples health. The cabinet also wants to know how the social partners can contribute to preventing health disparities.

The cabinet will ask the SER to actively involve municipalities and the SER Youth Platform in the advice.
