The pSG has a central position within the department, manages various staff and executive directorates, and is responsible for, among other things, organizational development, personnel policy, information policy, operational management, and the National Cleaning Organization. The pSG also fulfills the role of owner for the Social Insurance Bank and, together with the Association of Dutch Municipalities, for the Bureau Information Services Netherlands.
Frances Diepstraten has been Deputy Inspector General at the Dutch Labor Inspectorate since September 2021. Previously, she was Deputy Director-General of the Tax and Customs Administration. Earlier, she worked among other things as Director of Financial Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment, Director of Information Technology at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science, and as Director of Operations and Director of Finance and Control at the Ministry of Defense. She studied Dutch law at Tilburg University. Subsequently, she obtained a Master of Law at the University of British Columbia.
This appointment was made through the procedure for the top management group of the General Administrative Service.
