Students from group 8 of De Vonk Primary School in Odijk awarded the first copies of the lesson cases for the Third Chamber in the First and Second Chambers, an educational project of both Chambers in collaboration with ProDemos for groups 7 and 8 of primary school. Acting Chairperson Mei Li Vos received the first copies on behalf of the First Chamber. The party leaders of the First Chamber were also handed a case.

The Third Chamber is a free interactive lesson program about the Dutch parliamentary democracy for students in groups 7 and 8 of primary school. In a playful way, children learn how politics works. The lesson program consists of two parts, one for beginners and one for advanced students.

Primary schools in the Netherlands can request the cases for use in lessons via www.derdekamer.nl, while supplies last. The lesson package is also available online. Participating schools can take part in the contest Member of Parliament for a Day. Students visit the First and Second Chambers and learn to debate under the guidance of Members of Parliament.
