On July 31, 2025, former senator Ruud Oudenhoven passed away at the age of 85. He was a member of the Senate from September 20, 1977, to January 16, 1982, first for the Catholic Peoples Party (KVP) and later for the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA).
Oudenhoven was a sociologist. He was elected as a member of the Senate in 1977. He spoke on education. In 1980, Oudenhoven became the mayor of Diepenveen. This position was considered incompatible with being a senator according to his party. Therefore, he resigned from the Senate in 1982.
