On Tuesday, September 23, two new members of the Senate were installed: Shirin Musa (VVD) and Pim Walenkamp (Fractie-Walenkamp). They succeed Jan Anthonie Bruijn (VVD) and Eugène Heijnen (BBB), who left the Senate in early September to join the caretaker cabinet-Schoof as ministers.
Shirin Musa (1977) is the founder and director of the Dutch womens rights organization Femmes for Freedom. Pim Walenkamp is a Dutch teacher. He was previously a member of the Senate for the BBB from June 13, 2023, to February 1, 2024. Walenkamp informed the acting Speaker of the House on Tuesday that he will continue as the Fractie-Walenkamp.
