Commission invests €140 million to deploy key digital technologies
The Commission has launched four calls worth €140 million under the Digital Europe Programme to promote AI, digital skills, and expand the European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs). €55 million is allocated for generative AI in public sectors and regulatory compliance support. €27 million is for digital skills academies on quantum and AI. €11 million will expand the EDIH network. €47 million will support digital technology roll-outs and a European Network of Fact-Checkers.
These calls close on 2 September 2025, contributing to the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP) objectives. This is part of the 2025-2027 DIGITAL Work Programme focusing on next-gen technologies across Europe. More details can be found on the EU Funding & Tenders Portal.
