The Commission allocates €3.13 billion to Greece for recovery and resilience
Today, the Commission made the fifth payment under Greeces recovery plan, totaling €3.13 billion, with €1.35 billion in grants and €1.78 billion in loans. Payments under the recovery and resilience facility are contingent upon effective implementation of investments and reforms.
On December 20, 2025, Greece submitted its fifth payment request to the Commission for €3.13 billion under the RRF, covering 28 milestones and 4 targets. These include improvements in the judicial system, development of affordable and energy-efficient housing, enhancement of the electric grid capacity, and support for reforestation and firefighting.
On March 19, 2025, the Commission issued a positive preliminary assessment of Greeces payment request. The Economic and Financial Committees positive opinion paved the way for the Commissions final decision on fund disbursement.
The overall plan for Greeces recovery and resilience will be funded with €18.2 billion in grants and €17.7 billion in loans. An interactive map showcasing supported reforms and investments is available online.

Commission adopts positive preliminary assessment for €58 million to Luxembourg under NextGenerationEU
